In summer 2013, Overlook Apartments in Hyattsville Maryland were being renovated to achieve ADA compatibility for it’s residents and guests. Part of the renovation was to replace existing sidewalks and install new sidewalks using Flexi-Pave. Flexi-Pave was chosen for this project for it’s porous properties that allow stormwater to pass through, rather than runoff. Maryland National Park & Planning Commission waived the need for stormwater mitigation measures since the paving materials were specified to be Flexi-Pave, saving the owner a significant amount. Flexi-Pave color chosen was Pewter.
