We have completed the two phases of the pervious rubber sidewalks for Arlington National Cemetery. The first 10,000 square feet of Flexi-Pave for the Eisnenhower Drive sidewalk was installed in 2011. The remainder of the sidewalk now stretches from the south end of the Cemetery at Patton Drive all the way to the Tourmobile turn-a-round area at Memorial Drive. In total the pourous sidewalk covers 20,000 square feet and extends one mile. Phase 2 of the Eisenhower sidewalk was completed in 2012 and is now open to the public.

Arlington National Cemetery management chose Flexi-Pave in part due to their “Green Initiative”. This initiative includes consideration for Stormwater Management, LEED, and use of sustainable materials. The Flexi-Pave sidewalk at the cemetery used over 7,000 recycled passenger tires in its construction.
